“Man’s bruise”

I hope you’re a man of your word

I'm a woman living in a world of hurt

Honesty’s the only currency worth counting on

A fathers only worried about making his son strong

But since he's a man he

Crashes

Thrashes

Breaks

On the very life he’s grown to build

Big man

Must you stomp on your flowers

Big man

Must you make them weep

Big man

Have you forgotten?

That you were just a seed

Why has the peace inside you

Sailed away

Crashing on the souls of what you have born
